Who we are
The Mango Inn is a family-run bed and breakfast in Aryawarta Colony, Jaalgaon, Dapoli, Ratnagiri, Maharashtra, hosted by Ritwik Bapat and family since 1998. This policy covers this website, mangoinndapoli.com, and nothing else. Ritwik Bapat decides what happens to the information described below; the contact details are at the foot of this page.
What this website collects
One thing: your booking enquiry. When you open Book your stay and send the form, we receive your name, which of the five stays you chose, your check-in and check-out dates, how many of you there are, and anything you wrote in the notes box. Stored alongside it are the IP address and the browser user-agent string of the device that sent it, which the form software records automatically as a check against automated spam.
That is the whole list. The form does not ask for a phone number, an email address, an age, a postal address or an identity document. This website has no accounts and no way to register for one, comments are closed on every page, and there is no newsletter. Nothing is sold or paid for here: no card details, no bank details and no online booking. A stay is confirmed by talking to us.
WhatsApp, phone and email
Sending the enquiry form also opens WhatsApp on your own device with the same details written out as a message. Nothing leaves your phone until you press send in WhatsApp. When you do, that message and the phone number attached to your WhatsApp account reach us, and the message itself travels through WhatsApp under WhatsApp’s privacy terms rather than ours.
The same holds if you call us or write to us from the links on this site: we then have your number or your address, and we use it to answer you.
Why we hold it, and what we never do
We hold an enquiry for one reason: to answer it, and to have your stay ready when you arrive. We do not sell it, rent it or trade it, we do not use it to advertise to you here or anywhere else, and we do not build a profile of you.
There is no analytics, no advertising tag and no tracking pixel anywhere on this website. Nothing on these pages watches which stays you look at or how long you read.
Cookies
This website sets no cookie in order to identify you or to follow you. WordPress, which the site is built on, sets cookies for people who sign in to administer it; if you are only reading, that never happens. Our web host’s caching layer may set a small functional cookie so that pages load quickly. None of these follow you to other websites, and none of them are used to advertise.
What loads from elsewhere
Almost everything on these pages is served from our own server. Two things are not, and your browser has to ask for them directly:
- Google Fonts. The typefaces come from Google (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com), so Google’s servers see your IP address and basic browser information whenever a page loads.
- Links out, not embeds. The map links open Google Maps in a new tab and the WhatsApp buttons open WhatsApp; neither is embedded in these pages, so neither hears from you unless you click. Every photograph on this site is our own and is served from our own server.
Who can see your enquiry
Your enquiry is stored in this website’s own database and emailed to the family’s address. It can be read by Ritwik Bapat, by the family members and reservation staff who answer enquiries, and by the technical people who maintain the website. Our web hosting company can reach the server the site runs on, as any host can. Nobody else, and it is never passed to a booking platform or a travel agent.
How long we keep it
We delete an enquiry from this website’s database twelve months after you send it, and the copy that reached the family’s mailbox is deleted with it. Twelve months covers the season you asked about and the one after it, which is long enough to look up a past stay and no longer than that.
If you would like yours removed sooner, ask us and we will remove it.
Your rights
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, and ask us to erase it. You may also withdraw your consent to our holding it — an enquiry withdrawn is an enquiry we delete, though we may then no longer be able to answer it.
Write to us and we will act on the request and tell you when it is done; if there is some reason we cannot, we will tell you what it is. If you are writing from outside India, we will honour the same three requests wherever you are.
How to reach us, and changes to this policy
For anything in this policy, or to make one of the requests above, write to contactus@mangoinndapoli.com or call +91 94224 31340 or +91 92739 61794. These reach the family directly — there is no call centre.
If this policy changes, the date at the head of this page changes with it. This version was published on 6 September 2026.
