Standardised luxury with the soul of a traditional homestay
Twenty-eight years on the same hilltop, and the same family still answering the phone.
What began in 1998 as a modest initiative in the Aryawarta hilltop colony at Jaalgaon, Dapoli has become a landmark for travellers from Mumbai, Pune and beyond.
We were proud pioneers under the official Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) Bed & Breakfast scheme, and we set out with one clear intention: to close the gap between impersonal, rigid commercial hotels and unorganised homestays. In 2014 we rebranded as The Mango Inn, after the Alphonso orchards standing around the houses and the coastal ethos we cook by.
Today Ritwik Bapat and the Bapat family personally oversee every guest experience — from uninterrupted power backup and crystal-clear pool water to slow-cooking authentic ukdiche modak and sourcing sea fish at Harne Port the morning it lands.
